Get to Know Cody York
How did you first come to Slate?
When I was the Director of Marketing at Elon University, I was introduced to Slate and responsible for bridging the marketing plan with the execution on the technology side, with my counterparts in Admissions. It's come a long way since then, but I learned the ropes for how to utilize segments, build deliver campaigns and customize Portals for different student experiences we wanted to control more intentionally.
What's your favorite type of project?
My favorite projects start with a strategic pause to define the outcome, understand the audience, and decide what action we want to influence. That clarity makes every part of Slate more effective, from search and segmentation to campaigns and portal experiences. When the inputs are strong and the goals are measurable, Slate becomes a powerful tool for driving real results.
When you're not Slating, what are you doing?
At work, I spend a lot of time at the intersection of marketing strategy and Slate to uncover opportunities that only a Slate-focused company could provide, which technically isn't 'Slating,' but it's close! However, in life, I enjoy golfing, stand-up comedy and Philly sports. Go Birds.
